India: Apple to create 4,000 jobs with new office in Hyderabad

APPLE says it will set up an office in Hyderabad to accelerate the development of maps for its products in a venture that will create about 4,000 jobs in the Southern Indian city.Apple-Shareholder-Meeting2015940-940x580

This the second such announcement since CEO Tim Cook arrived in the country on his first visit.

“Apple is focused on making the best products and services in the world and we are thrilled to open this new office in Hyderabad which will focus on Maps development,” Apple’s CEO Tim Cook in a statement today.

“The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations.”
